Yea, I'm mad at FORD, but if I buy MAZDA, I'm getting MAZDA Customer Service, not FORD. MAZDA is subsidiary of Ford, not a division of. So MAZDA still has their own management intact. Ford is just responsible for paying the bills.

Ford only owns 1/3 of Mazda shares so I guess you'd only have to worry about 1/3 of your service.

Yea Barry...
It took you LONG enough to reply !
If I go with the Sub, I'm gonna wait for the STi.
If I do it, I gotta do it right !
The only thing that bothers me is that Road & Track and Automobile magazine said that the MazdaSpeed Protege,
grips the road just as well as the WRX, and doesn't break loose between 2500 and 6500 rpm.
The MazdaSpeed Protege also sells for $20,500, and only 1750 are coming to the US.
I have a chance to get one of these bad boys, if I want.

I say go for it. Great upgrade potential on the power train. Plus you're starting with a good suspension setup, too. But I've been saying this from the get go. I know all of the cars you've listed are good ideas though so good luck!
