and how much was the apexi auto timer? btw, i just read about it on apexi's site and thought this was really cool, "To prevent potential theft while running, the handbrake safety feature shuts off the vehicle when the handbrake is released without the ignition key."

The S-AFC is really nice in that it is simple to use and needs no other equipment to set up your airflow compensation. The e-Manage on the other hand, even though it has the capability of adjusting timing, needs a laptop at the least as well as extra software. Als as far as I know, Warmonger is the only guy who has worked out how to adjust timing with it, as it required him to build a separate "box" to allow the e-manage to converse with the Ford ECU.

So as long as you're staying N/A I would go the S-AFC for simplicity's sake.

The Auto Timer is $100 from Turbo Evolution, and really is an overkill for a non-turbo car.

WOW this is really great news! Well atleast there will be one CSVT that can keep up with all the hot, new sport compacts coming out How much boost do you plan on running with the 10:25:1 compression ratio? Also do you think you'll add the front mounted intercooler soon afterwards? I bet you can really put it in all those guys faces about your heat extactors and NACA duct now I think we need to have meet at D&B's for the unveiling Keep up updated Stazi.

It'll have an intercooler, air-to-air (modified 2G Eclipse intercooler), but not a front mount, I plan to mount it in the same location as the prototype's water-to-air, which is located right below my Cossie vent. I am then going to make a duct to come from underneath it and blow cool air from outside the engine bay, onto it.

With the right setup, I should be able to run up to and around 8-10psi. But I am going to work my way up there so I don't blow the thing up.

8-10 is kind of pushing it with 10.25 CR. has anyone done this so far.

I notice in your sig Stazi that you have a new Forester XS, was that a preemptive move on your part to "smooth things over" because of the turbo? If so, good job

Preemptive to avoid ending up with the Contour in the ditch again!

I don't have it yet. Keyser tells me it should ship out this Friday, so I would get the week after that.

I'll take teaser photos of it when I get it.
