Under what I would consider medium to hard acceleration (say... getting onto the freeway from 30 mph to a slightly less intense accel) there is this noticable, quick fingernails-on-the-chalkboard sound when I hit 60. Almost right on 60. I'm in a slushbox, but assume this is the final gear. What could be causing the problem, how serious is it, and what are some suggested fixes?
