You can alleviate the climb by removing and cleaning:
- upper intake
- secondary butterflies
- throttle body
- IAC
- EGR
- clean the EGR & IAC passages behind the throttle body
It?s a lot of work, but you get some other benefits as-well (smoother idle, better response)

The only way to stop the slow RPM drop is to install the TH-Fix. My car ran fine with the TH-Fix installed, but I did lose mid-range power. I removed the TH-Fix and cleaned the components listed above. The RPM are still slow to drop when I get on it, but I can live with that? It?s the hang that annoys me.
