For some reason my engine makes a wierd moaning sound.... It only starts to happen when I down [censored] and if I'm not mistaken when I down [censored] into third. It sounds like somethings getting restricted. Also I noticed the other day that during hard acceleration when the cars in third it seems like it's not accelerating. It goes, but it seems as if traction control is making the engine bog down( and I don't have traction control), and besides no reason for it to come on I thought it might be a spark plug but works fine only certain times.... I'm more worried about the wierd sound from the engine though so if someone could help me... And By the way my check engine light comes on ramdomly

Big, hairy, smelly, weighs a couple tons...sorry I had to!


Contours are known to make a "moosing" sound, comes from around the intake area. Lok for the "moose fix" to solve this problem. As far as I know it hasn't been knows to cause any noticeable power loss though.
