Keep the compressor connected!!!! Your windows will clear in seconds, and stay clear. No only does the compressor require regular "exercise", but you need to see everything out there, especially when it's icy / wet / dark more often!
My wife seems to think fog on some parts of the window is OK, I can't stand it!!!
