Roger the strip shows because it is a piece of U channel that slips over the front edge of the dash cover.[the edge at the base of the windsheild] I suppose the addition of the channel is supposed to lenghthen the dash cover enough so the windsheild itself holds the front edge down. You actually have 2 things causing this problem. 1.Crappy bond between the dashcover and the substrate. 2.This one concerns me the most! The outer layer of plastic[the pretty part you put armour all on] is shrinking,THAT is what is causing the damn thing to curl up. The repair kit DOES NOT address this! and if the new dashboards arent made of a different material the problem WILL RETURN! My other concern is that if I get the repair kit installed, then the outer skin just keeps on shrinking and now that it is suppossedly held in place with all the rivets, metal brackets and U channel that it will just continue to warp and in ways it doesnt warp now. I can see it now The top of the dash having more waves in it than the ocean!!!!!
