Timing belt didn't break.

Is there a TSB about changing the "tensioners" when ya change the belt ?

I thought that if the belt got whacked-out, it wouldn't bend a valve.

Has this happened to anyone else ?

Not sure that this is exactly what happened yet. Mechanic's hasn't done a tear down yet.

( Aren't the serpintine belt & the timing belt one & the same ?)

Thanks,

Sorry, missed the 4Cyl in the title. What year? Miles?

The timing belt is separate from the Timing belt. Here is a cutaway:

If not, go to www.alldatadiy.com. They have all kinds of car manuals there. I also have the Haynes manual and someone else posted an e-bay site where you can get the Ford manual on CDROM.
