I believe it's used in reference to Terry's "Bulldog" MTX-75.

it's a beefed up MTX-75 with (I think) a filter, a cooler, and a Quaife. PM Terry - I'm sure he'd love to tell you about it...

FRANKENTRANS is the name that a few people on this site have chosen
to name Terry Haines's idea of creating a BULLDOG MTX-75.
You can ask the people that mention this in their posts and signatures what they mean,
and take their explanation and reasoning with an OPEN mind.

I am sure those individuals will follow through and continue the thread here,
since they are looking for opportunities to do so,
and this is another one of those opportunities.

not looking for an opportunitie to dis someone. just want the word to get out on the work and product. I dont doubt terrys knowledge and I have never dissed him, But there is nothing to desire about his workmanship from what I have seen. A frankentrans, is the name of one transmisson that had the bulldog box put in, and failed, and failed alot. to much repair done on it, so returned ( I am making this short and not to hard) when returned it was a trans with a bunch of holes in it, the holes were covered with brass fittings. the trans looks real bad, and went through alot. but it does run so therefore Frankentrans.

was that nice enough?

Micah

Terry puts it in his signature to kinda make it a joke, he doesnt like the customer or anyone else who has seen the customers work, sense we all dont like the work that was done.

This is what I have taken from it all. anyone that has seen this transmisson, thinks differnt afterwords. its not just the trans that leaves nothing to be desired it is the workmanship on everything he did to the car.

This is not a dis to terry! this is a problem with his work or should I say the work of his company.

Perhaps we should look at the stats...
How many GOOD Bulldogs to the ONE bad one?????? Just wondering, because I have only heard of one, and i can understand how that could happen if rushed to complete the work.

I may be a newbie and all, but this is the ONLY case out of so many good ones. Correct me if I am wrong.
