Not to put a damper on your rant parade, but I really like my BFG's. They've held up for almost 34k miles (that's longer than any tire I've ever owned on any car). They worked admirably well in the snow, and they are very responsive. The only complaint I might have is that they may be too responsive. When I go over a steel bridge, they track all over the place. It's a fight to keep it in my lane.
