about a week ago my new head lights came in for my 99 svt, they look great and came with bulbs already installed, they were new not used, the pplace i got them from said they had bought a bunch off ford or something when ford stopped production, anyways to get on with the story. The passenger side light has devloped some moisture in it after presure washing the car I was wondering if anyone knew how to dry the lense out? something, i mean i just spent like 130 bucks a side on these things and one looks like crap already! My only theory as to the leak was maybe the bulbs(had been installed since the lights were made) are 2-3 years and the seals have dry rotted?? im not sure if the seals are rubber or silicon.. but anyway help would be well.. helpfull

Take the headlight housing off your car and run some compressed air through it. That will take any water out of the lense. As for where the water got in that will take a little detective work from you.

you might have the aftermarketish ones like BAT has... i think they're silicone sealed instead of the hard expoxy crap ford uses... bake em apart and do the hightower treatment!!

I would check the O-rings on the bulbs/sockets. The blinker one is known to snag. You also need to think about how humid it was outside when you installed them.

These headlight units are not completely sealed. There are two vent hoses on the back for moisture evap contol. Just drive around for a while with your headlights on, or leave it parked in the sun for a day so they get nice and warm and the moisture will find it's way out.

BTW, this is VERY normal when changing bulbs, too.
