In reply to:

IIRC the MAF adapters on ebay are basically a section of metal aluminum pipe welded onto an aluminum plate with a hole cut in it.

Why is a voice in the back of my head screaming that you can't weld aluminum? I must have heard it somewhere...please set me straight if im wrong.

Yea but with a talented welder and special rods it sounds as if billet would just be cheaper, the kit sounds good though, and i'm glad others have bought this, please post comments once you recieve this product.

I have this setup, bought it a while back. Sounds great, looks great and it was an easy mod. I didn't feel the HP gains, but it sure sounds faster!

Aluminum can also be welded via MIG as well as open gas falme and aluminum fed rods (by hand). TIG welding can also be done to other types of metals, not limited to just aluminum.
