i don't have a heatshield,and my car doesn't stall out...i hardly think his open element filter alone is causing his problem....

no i bought the whole thing from e-bay for $90, maf adapter,filter,intake pipe, and tubing!

wtf are you talking about?????what was my solution?????i just said that myself along with many others run an open element air filter without a stalling problem...i don't think that was necessarily his problem...

I've tried many different things to no avail! Replaced my IAC valve and I've taken off the intake for now. It doesn't stall with the stock airbox on, but it still idles at 500 at stops. My car just has problems that I cannot fix myself. I don't know wtf this is and any random input on this wore out subject would be terrific...

Your solution was to reset the computer. That did not work This is an old problem with some Contours and some open air filters. It may have to do with the type of filter and the way it flows air.

That is exactly what is happening to my car! I hope that I can figure this out then. Thanks for the archive..I did check before, too.

i don't have any problems with mine, unplugd the the battery before i turned the car on after install and it works just fine, no stallin!
