It doesn't stall with the stock airbox on, but it still idles at 500 at stops. My car just has problems that I cannot fix myself. I don't know wtf this is and any random input on this wore out subject would be terrific... Born again on 04/09/06 FOR SALE: Moonroof glass and motor MB sunshade PM ME!

Your solution was to reset the computer. That did not work This is an old problem with some Contours and some open air filters. It may have to do with the type of filter and the way it flows air.
