I didn't remove the air duct when I replaced it last time, but I have long skinny fingers and a high pain tolerance 
Next time I'll just remove the air duct.
BrianOn the Zetec, it's nearly impossible to change the PCV valve without first draining the coolant and removing the thermostat!
