Strongly doubt it, else there would be consistency across car-lines, or there would be a standard. I had later-model cars with rear windows cranking all the way down (Accords, for instance). (Anyone know whether the rear windows on a Mustang convertible roll all the way down??) What is IMHO a real safety feature -if there is concern for children's safety- is the ability to centrally disable the rear window switches so as to prevent passengers in the rear from rolling down their windows (hard to implement on hand-cranked, though...); it's a nice feature on the Mystique (at least on the model I have).

i like my rear seats, they make my insurance go down
i hate that people actually try to squeeze into them... i think they'll go bye-bye this winter.

True, but the car would look horrible with an extra foot of length

people actually sit in my seats too,, and it's illegal for me to have anyone other than family in car because i haven't had my license for six months yet (close though). mine will eventually come out, a new reason not to have to give people rides.

I have my car full of people all the time, going to hockey practice, going to a game, going to SOMETHING. I always have the great job of giving people rides (although I have friends with Tahoes, Explorers, and many other cars that are bigger than mine) I guess they just like my car...no...seriously
