it is on the intake hose, its silver, round, has a box looking thing on the top of it with a wire.

take off the air box and look at it, theres like a line in the middle with a hole on top, spray carb cleaner in it, let it dry.. viola.

95 V6 Contour

Hi, I don't mean to drag this out, but I need to be sure. Is the part we are talking about black with the word "Flow" on the top and an arrow on it? It has a plug on it as well and is attached to the top of a silver metal tube/duct coming from the air filter. I removed this box using a hollowed out hex tool, lifted the piece off and what I saw was 2 kind of funny looking filiments. Is this my MAF????

Confused in Calgary

Rob: ...You have your MAF in your hand. The correct tool to use would be a Security Torx bit/driver. I would be careful in the future with it. It's worth about 130 bucks laugh

Thanks for the information! I was on the right track then, great. Yes it did look rather fragile, but as well, very clean. Do you spray the carb cleaner on the filament portion or down into the metal tube?

Thanks,
Rob

**STOP**
Before ypu go spraying carb cleaner on the MAF sensor be aware that carb cleamner can ruin the sensor.
Just a little FYI.
