I have a 98 SVT with 50,000mi. I am now getting a noticible pulse in brightness of dash lights and overhead interior lights. I the pulse quickens with a rise in rpms.
I have installed an OPTIMA battery last fall. Additionally I have a stereo amp that I fail to turn off every day (which could have been the demise of the original).
The car turns over rapidly and the pulse almost could be defined as a surge, as if the voltage regulator was shot. I have no problems starting but as of this morning the battery warning light has begun to flash in conjuction with the dsah lights.
Any Ideas?
