Contours were not designed for the same market as the Cougar. There will always be more people looking to modify them than Contours. There are far more parts available for the Cougar than the Contour, and the Contour owners have proved they are far less likely to buy parts than Cougar owners. The Cougar looks more sporty and so attracts people who are younger. The Contour looks more mature and tends to attract older people (in general).
IOW, Cougar meets will always have more people. There are lots of Contours out there, but few (maybe 1 in 5,000 guessing by the Contour registered members) will have mods. That doesn't make us bad people, nor does it make our meets worth any less.
That said, there might be the possibility that the Contour owners wanted to get together and planned their event on a seperate weekend than the Cougar group. It was not intentional, nor was it intended to exclude you or anyone else. If you couldn't make it, or chose not to, that was your choice. Much like the others here, I couldn't make both meets as I had to work the following weekend.
