I've noticed that when filling overfilling the gas the needle does not pass the "F" mark. No matter how much I overfill it. My old Contour, Mustang and the loner Explorer does go over the "F" mark. Is this normal on the SVT?

Don't know if it is normal, but from what i've read you shouldn't over fill the fuel system as it prematurely gunks up the pcv system.

My SVT goes a little past the "F" mark when full, and it usually stays there for the first 1/6th of the tank or so.

I don't think those gauges are that accurate anyway. Do you notice that it goes down a lot faster when you're about mid tank? Then it hits below red when you have 2-3 gallons left?

The guages in both my cars are different in behaviour. They both indicate at different speeds. You kinda gotta learn how to read it. I think that probably goes for most cars though.
