Yes that must be it, I have a 99 SE that has no tach, no fold down seat, no spoiler but it does have the suspension pkg because it had 15" alloy wheels and the HO Zetec. It also has tilt, cruise, int wipers, A/C and power windows. Our car has a SE badge on the front fenders which had side marker light holes underneath. Which made it pretty convenient to put some APC marker lights in. But wow that airbox part that lives in the drivers side fender sure made it hard to fish wires through. There is no other reference to SE on the trunk, or anywhere and now the side badges are gone. It is darned confusing the way Ford names their cars, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason. Oh well, whatever they call the Mondeo, it's still a very fine automobile. Just another case of Americans not knowing what a great car is. The same Americans that will spend $45K for that ugly, transformer looking Avalanche or $30K for that two headed baby of the Aztec couldn't see what a great little car the Con/Tique was. The Europeans, who make great cars LOVE the Mondeo so what's that tell ya ?
