what were the width of the tires?

My best on the drag radials was a 13.1 @ 113MPH

the 12.93 @ 109 was on slicks and they are 22x8X15 M/T

I just dont understand the contour guys not wanting one of the best turbo kits on the market for the zetec

kit to date has made 326hp and 328tq that is more that the v6 kit is doing even, on the stock zetec this turbo kit did over 300hp at the wheels

I will be adding the updated turbo manifold and turbonetics new VS trim turbo they are testing and i will be looking for 400hp at the wheels

to clear up some things

car weight after 2nd round 3020lbs

i did have my slicks on and was using a 75shot in 3rd gear

Why is the trap speed so low for an estimated 400/400 plus at the wheels?

I know much heavier cars pulling 330 at the wheels trapping over 111+

FWIW he should be traping around 119mph with 330 at the wheels plus another 70 hp from the No2.

You seemed to miss the part about using a 75 shot to get those times. 109mph is extremely slow for that kind of power and being so light. (~3000lbs with driver - heavy?)

For reference - a normal Contour with a 100 shot did 103+ mph. That's maybe 240ish (HP/TQ) at the wheels and weighing in a couple hundred pounds more.

Correlate that to his trap speed and he is only making in the 220-230 range without the nitrous. Remember a big chunk of his ET is from slicks.

here - just using the simple formula's:

109mph at 3000lbs = 270FWHP
12.93 at 3000lbs = 270FWHP

Then remember he used a 75 shot of nitrous in 3rd (half the track) and go from there.

~230 HP/TQ without the nitrous.
Great for a zetec, but a far cry from the claimed 326/328 he said it did on a dyno with race fuel and who knows what other tricks.
