The chip will improve the ATX shift points and advance the timing. It's a chip that attaches to your PCM. 93 octane gas comes mandatory... Check the classifieds also.

The shift kits are not that expensive, but you have to pull the tranny to install it FYIR. Best to do on a rebuild along with a better torque converter.
