Profiling is illegal. BUT, that's a racial type thing. But how hard is it to hear a fart can? How hard is it to see no reflectors...or clears...or whatever is illegal? They know it's illegal when they mod it, but even if they are ignorant of the local laws....that's no excuse. Think if you are a cop and 1 outta 50 cars are modified (or whatever)...they stand out. What would you do if you were behind that badge and you see something you KNOW is illegal. I'm not going to tell anyone what to do or not to do, but learn from others mistakes before you make the same one. That video says a lot. Remember, no one ever thinks something like that can happen to them....until it does.

Thats a load of crap... here is Dallas there are several places that you can go to race legally, but people still insist on organizing illegal street races weekly. There have been nights that I have seen hundreds of cars waiting for a race on one of the busiest streets in Dallas. Just the other night I was at dinner and some punks were hanging out next door and one of them pulled out a gun and started shooting...?!?! Street races are trouble no matter how you look at it and I am yet to understand why people think it is so cool! Sorry for the rant... it just really pisses me off.
A few years back, a bunch of kids were standing in the middle of the highway watching a street race when a guy coming down the highway ran over them. The uproar was over the guy not seeing the kids but nobody really said much about the stupid kids being in the middle of the road at 2 am!??!?! WTF?! The families of the kids sued the man. What a crock....

Wow, that's complete bullshizzle. F that. I agree, street racing is dangerous, illegal, and stupid. That's why I don't do it. That's why I drive a Contour. NOTHING justifies ticketing me and towing my car cause it has tinted windows and a lowered suspension. My Corvette has a low suspension from the factory...gonna get towed in BC. My Ferrari has a low suspesion from the factory...gonna get towed in BC.  There needs to be something that defines responsible vs. irresponsible. I'd raise a stink.

Street Racing dates back to the invention of the Automobile. The car haters act as if this is somehting new created, it's not, just rebellion.
Keep up enforcing current laws, don't enact draconian measures, and build more tracks to let car lovers vent.

I cannot believe that cars are getting towed for being low and having a modded exahust. Being low has nothing to do with a fast car. A raspy exahust does not mean that a car is fast either. I would flip if i got pulled over for some of that junk. Expecially if my car got towed away. Around here the cops complain alot for neons and systems. The system tickets and laws are understandable if its later at night. But there are trucks on the roads that are alot louder than my system. Neons are always a hassle and you get pulled over and tickted for illegal lighting. Everyone that I have talked to young and old like seeing neons and have no problem with them on a car while driving. The cops see it hazardous to people that are driving and it might break their concertation. What about cops flashing their lights???

Towing away cars because they're too low? Stupid...though, I did see the same thing on that True life special on MTV, they actually come out with rulers and measure the distance from the ground to your headlights. Just another example of oppressive authority...
