Holy crap! Those guys are charging $2000 for a 3L now? That's pure highway robbery. What does a fresh block cost from Ford, $900 or so?

Does anyone think the following is worth $1100?

1. Each short block is meticulously inspected by our own experienced technicians and approved before modifications are performed, to ensure reliability and longevity. (Hah! They inspect it over and above Ford QC? What are they going to find that Ford missed?)

2. Oil drain back holes left open by 2.5L heads are filled/blocked.

3. Pilot bushing for flexplate is replaced with proper pilot bearing for MTX-75

4. Oil Pressure switch is retapped to accept the earlier design switch retained on your wiring harness.

Kit also comes with:

1. Complete Upper Gasket Set, including Head Gaskets

2. Complete Head Bolt Set

3. Rear Main Seal

That's a lot of profit margin. There are cetainly cheaper options out there, even if you buy and provide a 3rd party your very own 0 mile Ford block. And they are still missing the knock sensor retapping.
