yep, you are right about the 3.1 L VR6, $4899 for the crank/pistons/rods etc. but you have to supply the block/heads. here's the link.

I'm banking on significant torque gains down below 3k, but I am figuring horse power gains to be 20 shy of the turbo, so like 240 or so. . .I hope the install is cheaper than the s/c or turbo. . .

if the VW guys can get 300 out of 3.1 i am expecting 300-310 from the 3.5. i also wonder if this is going to lower the red line significantly seeing as it is going to be stroked what seemes to be quite a good amount.

dude, the VR6's are NA, just like our 3.5 would be, their 1.8T are's the only turbo line they offer, I don't even think they can turbo their VR6's because of space issues, though I've seen them supercharged by a swedish company of sorts. . .but yeah, 300+ would be reasonable at the flywheel, and close to 260tq.

I'm skeptical just like some others. First of all, I'm not too sure about SHOShop actually will be releasing this thing. Second, many people already running into problem of not having enough air flowing through the engine with just a 3L swap, what will happen with a 3.5L? It's interesting though, I want to hear more about this.

Actually, there is a 6 stage turbo kit available for the VR6, pumps about 600hp when all is said and done.

dont forget they can also add the 4 Motion AWD system. this is why i want a GTI so damn bad.
