No never. In fact, none of my headlight bulbs have even burnt out yet. One situation where the bulb might blow up is if you touch the glass. The oils on your hands cause hotspots to form, which blows the bulb up.

Now where can I find sandpaper with such a fine grit? I checked last night at Home Depot and the best they had was 600 which is nowhere near 2000.

Go to an auto body supply store. 600 is somewhat fine, but start with 1000, 1500 and then 2000. You can also pick up your buffing compounds there. Buy 3M paper and Meguiars compounds.

I have pics of my headlights, but I can't seem to post them from my 'puter I can send them though if you want to see them that bad.

Actually....I cut them off and am currently in the process of using black silicon to glue them back together. No pics of them yet, but I'll snap on when they are finished and back on the car (Monday)

I had a chemical reaction with some overspray from using leather cleaner on my interior. It streaked my instrument cluster's clear panel where you view the speedo. I used rubbing compound followed by Meguiars Mirror Glaze clear plasitic cleaner #17. I finished with Meguiars Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Polish #10. That seemed to do the trick. You can improvise using a palm sander and a swatch of terry cloth to buff the plastic.

BTW, I wouldn't use the rubbing compound unless you absolutely can't remove the hazing with just the cleaner and polish.

FYI, The Meguiars products aren't waxes or "cleaners" per se. They are polishes.
