I, too, have the moonroof popping problem in my 98 SVT. Luckily, it stuck closed, but will now only tilt or make a rather hideous popping if I try to open it. I would like any comments or direction on the procedure for getting to the motor and gears. Would it be best to break down and get the shop manual, or does Hayne's or Chilton's go into enough depth?
