True...but I am not talking about a spacer. I am talking about a device that smoothes out the airflow going into the UIM. If you remove your TB and look in the UIM, you will see that the air is forced to make an abrupt 90 degree turn to get to the runners. The discussions were about an adapter that actually smooths out the 90 deg. bend the air has to make. It would actually help prevent the air from deadpanning at the 90 deg. bend. This would INCREASE the velocity of the air going into the motor. Where the air deadpans actually causes the air to slow down and the engine to work harder to pull the air in. It is not snake oil but very dfficult to accomplish without serious R&D.
