I had to pull out the dremel and increase the size of the metal plate (hole) in the rear to get it to go into reverse and into second. There wasn't enough clearence without, and still, I have some difficulty, I may just put my old shifter back in. Moose 1998 Black 3L Contour SVT Sweet Home Alabama

hmouta_dup1 Hard-core CEG'er H Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 4,639 Waterbury,CT	i believe the mondeo guy made the adapter plate for the steeda shifter, not the obx. someone asked about a steeda group buy and this guy jumped in saying he had to make an adapter plate. i think people have said the obx is like a b&m shifter knockoff. the steeda supposedly works differently, being a true short shifter. the knob will sit lower than stock shifter knob but a little higher than the b&m. the "stuff" down below is where the real difference is supposed to be w/ the steeda and obx/b&m.
