I have looked high and low for a supplier, like Duplicolor, of Silver Frost paint. When I go to Schucks/Napa, etc and look in the master book, there is almost every color for almost any car available, EXCEPT color #341, silver frost. Anybody have any luck or find something very close that I can use to finish the factory spoiler on my wife's 99 silver frost Contour ? I bot a used factory wing and it's ready to go on as soon as it's painted. Duplicolor makes silver frost but only in the touch-up containers, not the spray cans. Side marker lights, 5 spoke polished alloys w/Kumho high perf tires, 200 watt Panasonic CD, "Contour" windshield decal, Bassani twin outlet stainless steel muffler, indiglo gas & brake pedals.

I bought a can of navy blue spray paint from walmart to do the oval ring on my grill.
It matches pretty good.
Make sure you hit it with clearcoat afterwards. You probably knew that though.

You can get it in the automotive section. Plasti-Kote Vehicle Paint.

Have you tried here?

PaintScratch

I haven't used them, but I saw this URL in another post somewhere. I was thinking of possibly placing an order with them.

if anything, get the paint in a touch up bottle..there are containers you can buy that will let you pour the paint in and spray it that way.

Go to an autmotive paint supply store, have them mix you a pint. Then get one of those spray canisters that come with replaceable propellant. Still no match for the finish from an actual compressor spray gun though.

Hey,

I had the same problem, but I went to wally world and found Vehicle paint by Plasti-kote #VP-83 Silver frost pearl metallic. This matches my silver contour . Used the paint on my headlight covers.

Perfect, another great answer. I will try that also. Thanks to all of you that replied and helped me in my quest to make "the world's most beautiful Contour". Ken
