Greg,

It is possible that the DMD smoothed the torque curve and gained a little power. HOwever, one dyno run is not enough to verify that. Two different days separated by months and only a slight increase in power could be affected by many things including different oil, different engine operating temp, etc. You know what I mean...you could run 6 dyno runs in a row and see that for whatever reason you can have statistical variation of more than a few HP and torque. We need to see before and after runs from well tuned cars with a bit more of a dyno history...like yours unless you have done too many things since your last measurement.

since I didn't see this post till now and I was the one who helped HisSvt install the DMD I know for a fact that other than that being added NOTHING else was done his car. even if Micah wants to think other wise.... and there is NO WAY that DMD was 4lbs more than the stock crank... I could hardly tell a differance between the stocker and the DMD but now if you compaired my Esslinger UDP and my stock crank pully there is clearly a 4lb differance... which BTW I gain on dyno a WHOLE 2hp and 8 tq which kind of kills you weight change to hp change thing
but what could I know I drive a little Zetec

how about this.....

going from a UDP to a DMD you would gain some power. 1 from reduced vibrations, and 2 from having increased out put from the alternator - more energy for things like spark and so on.

would this be right or are these totally off base?
