I went and saw the toolbox today...boy it was a nice Mac box at one time. Well the car has .8 miles more than when I dropped it off. Minimal but still had some mileage. It did some damage to the tech, broke two toes, ankle, pulled a ligament in his leg. Whoops!
eek So I talked about the "diminished value" and they seem extremly sincere. We are going to further talk this weekend when I have more time.
Oh they tried to put me in a Focus haha. I got three children who all use car seats. Not quite the right size for me. Ended up with a Jeep Chrokee afer I told them one of my 3 kids would have to ride in the trunk of the focus laugh I will keep yall further posted, thanks to all that replied and made me feel much better and slightly more vindictive wink

In all seriousness, I REALLY want to know how this happened. If the opportunity permits, please let the board know how in the world the car "slipped" into gear...

Best of luck on the repairs.

Jato,

Actually, I have an idea. But I'd rather not post it here just in case the dealer needs an idea for his "story"

I could e-mail it to you then if the topic starter (forgot the name) could find out, we could see if I got it right.

I'd rather not have folks begin to speculate publically about this just incase others are "watching"

Cheers,

TB

NEW CAR IS WHAT YOU BOUGHT, NOT USED WITH BODY DAMAGE THAT'S BEEN REPAIRED! If dealer can't find you one, tell him you have but for sticker price (+) and he can cut you a check! Should be an interesting claim for the dealer to explain to his insurance company. They will not even bother, but will pay claim out of dealer funds. They f**ked up, don't accept a wrecked car, haven't you read about the problems posted on this site regarding cars that have never been wrecked? I wouldn't accept less than $10K for the BS.

Well guys after $4410.00 in repairs to my car I got it back. But it looks like SH1T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My doors dont line up, my hood dont line up, my bumper is loose, my door panel is torn, my seats have indentions in them from body parts that were in my seats, my paint is lighty sprayed in some spots, 12 "fish eyes", trash in the paint, bad alignment, burnt paint from buffing on it, AC dont work.
You know how Charlie Brown's shirt has a zig-zag strip on it? Well imagine that on my car from the front bumper to the rear. From buffing it dry.
When I went to pick it up they wanted to charge me $206.98 for the TB service, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Yeah sure.....,
My rental car bill was also $1300 for 23 days. They want me to bring it back Wednesday when the owner of the dealership returns.

and the saga continues........ confused  frown mad mad mad mad

Bring it back?? I'd just leave it there. First they mess up by wrecking your new car. Now they try to fix it and it still looks like crap?? I'd seriously see about having someone else fixing it correctly and giving the dealership the bill if they can't do the proper repairs. Or maybe see about getting a new car out of this. Best of luck to you and your problems.

OMG! mad This follows along with the other thread... Quality is JOB 100!

Sorry to hear about continuing problems you are having with those jackass.

Make them replace it and make it right. They wreck it, they replace it.... Eye for an eye!

If it gets ugly, a website and some BAD local press exposure might make them do what is right.

Keep your chin up man!

- Cheers

Get the F*****G! car replaced! I don't ask people not to make mistakes!!!! BUT I DO ASK THAT THEY PAY FOR THEM!!!!!! mad Screaming doesn't help??????? What???? Some of you guys work for FORD. Must be!!!! You should have never agreed to have them fix it! You now have to struggle with them to get things put back right. They now put money in on your car and that car is now committed to be fixed and thats it! You now might have to deal with a ****ty looking fix. Tell them you want a new car at cost from manufacturer. 0% finance and a friggin contour.org key chain!!!! wink

A couple of things in this post were brought up that weren't answered:

#1 if the car jumped into gear how did it not stall?

#2 what repairs did they do to correct the transmission from jumping into gear?

The simple fact that the body repairs were done poorly lends one to believe that this dealership is doing everything as cheaply as possible. This is a fine opportunity for your lawyer to get "geared up" for a very strong case. Sorry about the pun...

Bottom line is there is no way should you come out anything but rosy on this one.
