MTX makes VERY respectable amplifiers and are a good value for the money. I wouldn't hesitate to own one.
JBL makes some of the best bang for the buck amps on the market with the BP sub amps.
Class D is an amplifier classifications. They got the "D" designation based on how the amp circuitry works. With a class D amp, transistors are switched on or off. The on/off switching is similar to the 1s and 0s used in the digital domain. There is no way to amplify 1s and 0s, hence no such thing as a digital amplifier.
