Well, it appears that some are gas-charged and some are not, according to their application table.

As for the the rebound adjustment, again, according to Koni's graph, both rebound and compression are affected. Have I misunderstood the meaning of "single adjustable?"

I've read the same stuff, but I never paid close attention to Koni's app chart, or that dyno graph.

Only the rebound area is adjustable, compression is not varied by the adjuster- see the below graph from the Koni website:
