I might be back home locally this weekend from MSU.. If so, I'll come out for a ride to Hell.

Hey Mark seeing that you work with Mark Wilson you should ask him for some of the directions. The SVTOA cruize last year was AWESOME I know that we took M-14 W to either exit 2 or 3 (Huron Valley Drive) This road has ALOT of twist and turns, but also had alot of joggers too. I'm sure he'd be willing to help us out.

I don't work w/ Mark Wilson. As for the route, matt & I already spent a day driving around out there planning it out so no sense changing it now.

The thing about Huron River Drive (actually there's a couple) is:

1.) Lots of bikers/joggers, especially on the weekends. Runs alongside of Hudson Mills Metropark for awhile and gets a lot of overflow from there.
2.) Fairly busy traffic-wise on the weekends.

Don't get me wrong, it's a fun-as-all-hell road (growing up out there gave me a lot of drive time on it), it's just too clogged up these days. Plus it's 35mph the entire length and fairly heavily patrolled because of it.

I'll talk to WorldTour and get some other back roads into that route from Compuware to Hell... you can go around the east and south sides of Portage Lake. There's construction in downtown Pinckney anyway so it'll give you a chance to get around that as well.

Roger,

Matt and Mark are right, Huron Valley, while a cool road, is just too busy to be much fun. When we did this run last time (right after Mark got his S/C installed) we had a blast, and I remember hitting triple digits on a few occasions at least (I got stuck behind a slowpoke. . . hehe, though he fixed things later by adding a Venom N2O setup. . . but I won't mention his name, lol)
Trust me, you guys will have fun. I'm kinda bummed I won't be able to make it.

Lots of roads out that-a-way! Go as far west as Stockbridge. Hit Gregory, Pinckney, and a few places that have no name. Head West from Compuware on North Territorial. I'd also avoid Huron river drive.

Slow Poke

Hey Roger. Did you want to meek up to drive out to compuware. Is there anyone else going out there from our area. I still am a lil unsure about going, but it looks promising.
