I have exactly the same thing but after the 1 or 2 seconds you mentioned it goes down to idle. I thought it was normal because it was sort of like the electronic choke or something... I think it must be terrible if it goes up to 4K on its own so I´ll let it alone for a while but if it keeps revving higher Ill change the air sensor you mentioned.
