Anyone here use Valvoline synthetic?

My bro used it in his S-10 and it kept the engine clean as a whistle.

I'm switching to Amsoil Series 2000 as soon as my car goes back together. 0W-30 sounds like the way to go.

It is! The 0W30 is much better and is there most refined over the counter oil for street and racing purposes. As I read and that article about the oil ratings, obvously Amsoil was the best in pretty much every category, though 0w30 wasn't tested in there. The Viscosity Index is higher than the average oil/synthetic and the flash point is very high with Amsoil and is why the oil can endure such sever conditions without burning up. The ASH amount is so minimal I wouldn't even worry about it (.5 is nothing).

I can tell everyone here, Amsoil will be your all around best choice for a Synthetic Oil base. I highly Reccomend 0W30, don't worry about what the factory reccomends. There are many other good Synthetics and if money is a factor than the next Oil I highly Reccomend is Mobil 1!!!
