Iâ??m going to replace my plugs this week. Which plugs perform the best in our cars?
(98 mystique stock V6.)
I was thinking of Bosch +4 until I read they donâ??t last.

Cheers,
~jc

I have those and they have seemed to work great over the past 22k. I haven't pulled them to check them out though, they just seem to perform well, no stumbing like my last plugs.

don't drink and drive.

Do not getting any bosch plugs!

Get a set of Autolite APP764's or Motorcraft AWSF32PP's

Demon,

Any advantage to running a hotter or colder plug depending on mods, and don't the higher compression E1 engines run a hotter plug. I read it somewhere and can't remember what the plug number was but I do recall yourself and C. Hightower discussing the different higher compression plug.

Only the 00 SVT (E1 = 98.5) with it's 10.25 CR is listed as using the colder plugs.

If you have a very aggressive chip program in any SVT you may want to try them, but it is not a neccesity to do so. Even for just timing advance they still may be too cold???

I'd stick with the tried and true sets I previously posted.

Now for any 00 SVT owners reading I have had great success with the colder plugs & running a chip.

Autolite currently has a $1 per plug rebate on Platinum Pro (double plat) plugs.

Stay away from Bosch plugs, especially the +4. the 4's
have four tabs blocking the fuel mixture from the spark,
bad design. OE plugs will work the best from my experience .
