The additional compression on the 2000 was to compensate for the slight decrease in displacement. The displacement dropped from close to 2.55 L to just slightly under 2.5 L. Ford said that the change was in keeping with European laws having to do with taxation.

I suggest you look again!

99 and 00 have both Primary & Secondary ports EH'd.

On mine both were done as well. I even have some nice pictures!

Sounds like that engine is either not a 00 or the poor owner got the shaft with early SVT heads!

The CR increase was 00 only. Dropped 45cc's and gained .25 CR - the CR raise definitely made up for the tiny loss of displacement.

2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

Nope,it's a '00 built motor with '00 head dates...so it must have been built in the plant with 'old stock' heads.....

Someone probably found a set sitting around during a '4 wall inventory' and put them back in stock, then they got installed on that motor. Sue! Sue!

And Big Jim, that makes sense about the loss of displacement and increase in compression cancelling each other out. I had forgotten about that.
