I see in my 96 Service Manual a "Air Bag Dianostic Monitor Diagnostic Trouble Code Priority Table" chart it says it is 4th lowest priority out of 21 codes. Fault Description: Air Bag Dianostic Monitor Internal Thernal Fuse- Fuse Blown due to Intermittent Short to ground. They mention, "The Diagnostic monitor only flashes a code 51 when the thermal fuse is blown and the short to ground is not present. Do not replace the Dianostic monitor until serviced. Consult OASIS for shorted wiring information".
