would the DMD make you lose power as it is so much heavier? i know of all the benefits of it and want one for myself when i have more money. i can only imagine how smooth it will make my car run. but i just think it will make you lose some power due to weight that the engine has to turn.

??

Technically, the weight doesn't cause you to lose power, IE horsepower, but would slow the acceleration rate down. In other words, your top speed is the same, just takes a little longer to get there. But the vibrations that the DMD fixes actually use power, so I would be willing to bet that because the unit has a small diameter, and it reduces vibration that cap use HP, it probably is an even trade. Plus, your HP is a lot higher when all your crank bearings are intact. A blown bearing really reduces your power!

I lost a bit of power, but, the trade off is worth it. I lost 10hp/3-5tq from my last dyno, but my cat was also clogged. I will dyno again soon, with a new cat, for better numbers.

Man; that wasn't even worth posting!

If dropping 4lbs off the stock pulley & undedriving it 20% gains ~2FWHP then adding 1lb might drop a tenths or so by itself. Then take into account the less flexing the crank is doing a higher rpms and you probably end up gaining performance!

with my UDP I do notice that it revs faster, the car seems faster then it did with the stock pulley. I'm just worried that if I put on a DMD it will slow my car down even more.

tho it would be nice to make my car run smooth and have that sense of security.

I did state it is worth it. Plain and simple. Do it, get it, revel in the new found smoothness of the motor. But, you will lose some power.

Yep, it is pretty sweet. Going on 2 weeks with mine now. I have noticed a decrease in mileage since I live in the upper part of the rev range now. But you sure have a lot of power on tap when when you're 3500+rpm.

Oh well, "Happiness is a tour with no CELs"

Anyone working on an underdrive pulley with the DMD feature, or is there anywhere to shave some weight off the DMD without throwing off the balance???
