Tried the spike. Still got a flood when removing the can. Tried holding vertical, ragging, masking and wiping. Want to try the brake cleaner trick, if I don't find anything better. I may also try the spike, then crack the can off just a little, to minimize the flood. Thanks for tips so far. More?
