OP Dragonstar_dup1 Newbie D Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 8 Orlando, FL	Can anyone help out a Newbie? I can't seem to find the O2 sensor after the cat. I've got a book but it only shows the pre-cat. I've got a 1997 4 cyl. Thanks! -Insperatus - 97'Contour GL

BBorges_dup1 Hard-core CEG'er B Joined: May 2001 Posts: 1,631 CT	The first one in at the upper part of the exhaust manifold or approx. there... very easy to find... it looks like a spark plug... The downstream is also easy to find.. easier if you lift the car.... I guess you could also find it if you had a flashlight and went under the car.... I don't know how else to explain... they are very easy to spot.... P.S. if you got a code for downstream O2 sensor i would first try changing the upstream... it worked for me... 30K miles already and no codes.... Anything is POSSIBLE... sowing the seeds of love"

OP Dragonstar_dup1 Newbie D Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 8 Orlando, FL	When I took it to autozone they said that they got two separate codes for the same thing so they were both bad. Just changed the first one and the light is off - but I guess thats because the comp was reset - thanks for the info - I will look harder!!! -Insperatus - 97'Contour GL
