Just FYI. Equipe Rapide is holding their next AutoX at MetroZoo's parking lot on September 28 & 29th. Check the site for more info, I'm going to try to compete if I can find a helmet & Breidy should be running his SVT as well.

Eric, just curious how they "class" cars? For instance: I have larger wheels/tires, f/r strut tower braces, and a larger sway bar, so which class would I be competing in? Thanks for the info, and maybe I'll be seeing you sometime soon.

Thought I was going to run, but it doesn't look hopeful now. My alignment seems worse & worse each time I get it looked at and I think my car's leaning ever so slightly to the left-rear. Gotta take care of that first.

You can run Novice class 3 times until you have to move up, but I'm not sure what class you would be in. Sometimes the number and type of cars that show up determine classes/

Met up with Seth last night. I think he's going to make it, we'll see.

I finally grew testicles and ran the car for the first time... it was lots of fun! Felt like an idiot my first run out, totally misread the course (b/c I was late & didn't get to walk it.) and ended up shooting PAST the finish line, but it was a learning experience... as I expected, an 88.something.
The rest of the runs were consistently better. 2nd run, still hadn't walked the course, 59.something. After finally walking the course & learning the lines, I pushed it a little more and hit a 56... 'course the last run was ballsy, my cheapo tires complaining like crazy... if it wasn't for going sideways on the last slalom I would've broken 52sec for sure. Ended up w/ best time = 53.207... Most in GS were hitting b/w 48 - 44sec, so I have some improving to do.

There apparently will be another event @ the same location in October sometime. Think more of us could finally show?
Also, Gran Prix of the Americas is going down @ Bayfront Park very very soon. Any of you locals going?
