Ok guys and gals for the female tour owners out there I have two problems with my 99 svt. The first is I have a squel or hum sound coming from the engine when starting the car in the morning and someitmes after work in the evening. This sound is not consistant and goes away if I accelerate. This sound is also heard on the highway if the rpm's go down but goes away after accelerating. At first I thought this was the serpentine belt going so I replaced it but yet it is still there and I know there is a second belt for the water pump and second cam on the car and that will be replaced soon but I was wondering if you guys might have had the same problem. I have 78,000 on my car and I travel 56 miles one way to work so the need to know what is happening is very important. The second thing that I have going on is there is a weird virbratino in my front end at about 75 miles per hour and I think it might be the balancing of the tires so I am going to have them rebalanced but I have been reading through the threads of the board and seeing the engine vibration topics all over the place and since I travel in between the 70-90 mph range for at least 1 1/2 hours a day I was wondering what I could do if it is not the tires? Thanks for the imputs from you guys in advance.

A: Because it doesn't know the words!!

The noise might be the Moose problem....Check here:

Moosing Problem

Vibration: Tires (Balance), Alignment (Check for worn suspension pieces), motor mounts.

Does your steering wheel shake also? Or just the car? If the steering wheel is ok, rotate your tires and see what you get. You narrow down your problem, if it's in the tires, and which tire it may be...or if it's an alignment issue.
