Ever since I got my car fixed by ford my car has a tendency to stall when i am exiting the freeway.
Actually had a scary expirience last night. I was driving on one of those high speed two lane roads where the center line is covered by salt and there are no reflectors on the side. My car stalled after I held the clutch down halfway through a corner going 80 mph with oncoming cars!

Why yes it is true, I am on my third engine.

My car seems to be doing the same thing.

Only stalls when the clutch is in, and slowing down.

Did you find a fix for this?

Patrick

My car does this occasionally , banger do you have a CAI? If so I think when the motor is just idleing and your runnin fast its ramming air into the intake which is causing the car to stall. Just my oppion since it happens to me if I try to Coast down big hills. The lights will start to dim and then I throw it a rev.....I dont know why the damn thing stalls at intersections......

My BF's car stalls out on him when he comes to a stop or is just slowing down. Doesn't happen all the time just when it wants to. He took it into Ford and they hooked it up and found that his mass air flow sensor needs replaced. So this might be something to check.

I reset the battery overnight and the problem went away. Try that... it's easy.

You did that in June? and the problem went away? That sounds easy. I will do that as I believe I had the same problem last night. Took the car out for a quick "show-off" run and it stalled.....I will try to clean it if it doesn't work.

Thanks for the tip!

This happned to me once.

Try checking the Plastic Tubing which is in this picture below:

When this happened to me, I looked under the hood and the whole plastic assembly had slightly fallen off. As soon as I connected it, my car ran normal.(I attached a clamp to ensure it wouldn't happen again)

Hope that helps,

Justin
