When upgrading exhaust on the Zetec, would I benefit more with 2.5" or 2.25" where would I get the best acceleration?

I'd like to know also. I talked to Performance Fords a couple of months back and they said that a 2.5'' exhaust wouldn't be a problem.

I really wish taht I had won Powerball tonight...

from what i understand 2.25" is best for lightly modded engines that want good acceleration... 2.5" is for heavier modded/higher top end cars.....this is just what i understand....NOT FACT

Thats how I understand it too. Too big and you can lose some low end torque.

unless you have ALOT of performance mods a 2.5" pipe is gonna kill your lo end torque.
