OP MarkO_dup1 Hard-core CEG'er M Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 1,960 Proud to live in America	As the title says, the cocktail didn't make any difference although I have only driven a few miles so far on it. IIRC, a non-improvement after the cocktail indicates synchro issues but IIRC again, synchro issues get worse and worse over time whereas my notchy shifter has been with me since I bought the car 35k miles ago. contourcross_dup1 New CEG\'er C Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 13 Port Severn, ON, Canada	The tranny cocktail is most notable in cold (below freezing) weather. Otherwise, the synchros etc are likely damaged, or the linkage is out of adjustment (less likely).
