The intro was the best part. Those close ups with the cars barely rolling was damn cool. Makes me want to get out my fuel powered r/c again.

The only thing about the gas cars are the noise (sounds like a weedeater running) and the mess. I much prefer the electrics. at that small of a scale, the electrics are faster than the gas cars. When I was the manager of a hobby shop, we clocked our fastest cars, and we had one electric car that would do 60 MPH. The fastest gas car we could get up to about 50 MPH. This seems counter intuitive, but keep in mind that you cant burn enough fuel at that scale without adding a lot of weight. The electric cars are much lighter than the gas cars, and that is why they perform better, even though they produce slightly less energy per ounce than a gas car.

I had a home built electric pan car that hit 48 MPH on a tenth scale mile oval straight away. Used to race Outlaw wedge bodies for 50 lap features on Tuesdays, NASCAR bodied features on Wednesday nights, sprint car features on Thursdays. I'll have to get my one remaining electric car down now... Kysho Optima mid with the works, set up as a rally car...

Great video. The blue car needs to slow his steering down or learn how to drive though...
