It is a true 289 small block - the "magic comes from the AFR heads and valve train and the cam and intake setup- and as far as 351 W vs C they are both incredible engines- you can get as you stated 5-600 horses out of a mildly tuned windsor all day lonng- the cleveland its a much more temperamentle motor- it also has some oiling isues but those sould not be a problem unless you race it- but it does have cross bolt mains. the windsores are terrific motors that have abundant parts and terrific spec outputs with resonable costs-
my dream motor for one of our FIA cars is actually even if I stated otherwise above a 351 W with weber 48mm IDA's and nice internals to be able to spin it close to 9000 rpm and get around 600hp.
